Tinder Live with Lane Moore – Valentines Show
February 11 @ 7:00 pm
Tinder Live! With Lane Moore is the critically acclaimed, totally improvised where Moore projects her Tinder onto a screen, swipes through profiles live on stage, and the audience votes whether she swipes right or left, to hilarious and surprisingly kind results. Tinder Live was hailed by The New York Times as being “ingenious. The way she manipulates tone and pace reveals an artist supremely confident in her form.”
Lane Moore is an award-winning comedian, actor, writer, and musician. Her first book, “How To Be Alone: If You Want To And Even If You Don’t” became a #1 bestseller and was praised as one of the best books of the year by The New York Times, New York Magazine, NPR, Good Morning America, Fast Company, Marie Claire, and many others. Moore also gave a TEDx Talk based on the book, called How To Be Alone. Her second book, You Will Find Your People, will be released in 2023.
“Moore started Tinder Live! two years ago because she wanted to ‘create an environment that could take this isolating, depressing as hell experience of trying to find someone amazing in a sea of cocky idiots and turn it into this room full of people who were all in it together.’ And that’s how it felt that night. As the profiles got weirder and weirder, suddenly all of the late nights we spent on these apps, lying alone in bed, trying to maintain a conversation with an apathetic stranger who “loves coffee and working out,” felt somehow validated. It wasn’t just us. We weren’t alone. We were all schlepping through this swamp of freaks together.” —Huffington Post
