Son Volt w/ Jack Broadbent
August 5 @ 8:00 pm
Jay Farrar started the band Son Volt in 1995 after leaving the seminal group Uncle Tupelo, whose No Depression album helped define the alt-country and Americana genre. Son Volt’s current line up – keyboardist/steel guitarist Mark Spencer, bassist Andrew Duplantis, guitarist Chris Frame and drummer Mark Patterson — is celebrating over 25 years of performing its unique blend of folk, country, blues, soul and rock.
Jack Broadbent is a talented singer/songwriter who started his career with humble beginnings busking and has since been leaving audiences spellbound with his live shows and unique style of slide guitar. Raised in rural England and with a musician father, Jack was brought up on a diet of music that could later be described as his main influences, including acts such as John Lee Hooker, Peter Green, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
