My paintings reflect images from my dreams, my environment, personal experiences, and observation of objects of personal significance found in my numerous collections. Time and memory, as well as life and death, are important to me in the creative process. My paintings are created in gouache and are not preconceived in terms of composition, color, or imagery.

My work is influenced by the world around me and by the movements of Expressionism and Abstraction. Through the process of creating, these works become an ever-changing thought, a continuous conversation between the artist and the art until they become a statement of their own.
