Mingus Big Band

One of the most important figures in twentieth century American music, Charles Mingus was a virtuoso bass player, accomplished pianist, bandleader and composer. He recorded over a hundred albums and wrote over three hundred scores. One of the greatest musicians of our time, Mingus played with the greatest musicians of our time – Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Art Tatum, Duke Ellington and many others.
