Luvin Arms’ Book Talk Series: “Saving Animals” by Elan Abrell

October 16 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for a discussion with author Elan Abrell, a cultural anthropologist whose research and writing focuses on human-environment interactions, scientific knowledge production, and technological innovation in the United States. We will be discussing his newly released book “Saving Animals: Practices of Care and Rescue in the US Animal Sanctuary Movement.” The book examines how sanctuary caregivers respond to a range of ethical dilemmas and material constraints, while attempting to meet the various and sometimes conflicting needs of rescued animals. We invite participants to ask questions and participate in this wonderful event.
