In Solidarity: A Queer Prison Pen Pal Valentine’s Day Card Making Event

February 9 @ 5:30 pm

Queer folks, and especially black and brown LGBTQ+ identifying folks, are disproportionately subjected to incarceration and are at higher risk of experiencing violence, harassment, and abuse inside a penitentiary.

While the fight for abolishing the prisons and decriminalizing black and brown queer bodies goes on, we can still make an effort to reach out and show our queer siblings behind bars some support of and solidarity by writing to them and letting them know they are not alone.

On February 9th, join the queer prison abolitionist organization, Black & Pink, and Out Boulder County as we write Valentines Day cards to queer folks that are currently incarcerated.

Come for a little bit or stay for the whole time. Any level of participation is welcome!

February 9, 5:30-7:30 pm
