Community Volunteer Project to Commemorate 9/11
September 11 @ 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
We need you! We will be getting together on Saturday, September 11th, to commemorate the anniversary of that fateful day 20 years ago. We want to show that the enduring impact of those acts of terrorism is a call to service – to our country and in our communities – through Operation Enduring Service. We want to once again demonstrate that any attempt to tear us down will only make us stronger.
We are recruiting volunteers of all ages and abilities from across our community to come out and join The Mission Continues and the Guardians of Palmer Park to unite in service! We will have a variety of projects that day: fire mitigation, trail work, social trail closures, clean-up, and more. The event will be family friendly and lunch and refreshments will be provided. The Mission Continues will also be providing special commemorative t-shirts to all volunteers.
The event will run from 0830-1400, and more details and registration are available at this link: https://www.missioncontinues.org/event/details/a1l1W000009vGBWQA2/
Please register, so that you can be sure to get a t-shirt and any updates emailed to you as the event approaches.
