Call for Art: Beer Here Exhibit at the Museum of Boulder

Beer Here! Brewing the New West is an exhibition running from March 18 – September 3, 2023 at the Museum of Boulder.

This incredible exhibit, that was originally developed by History Colorado, is coming to Boulder!

Beer Here! will feature stories from the past, present and future, as well as more than 160 authentic artifacts from Colorado’s beer and brewing history. Full details can be found on our website.

As part of the exhibit, we will be hosting an exhibition of beer-themed art in our Museum lobby, beginning April 13 and closing alongside the exhibit on September 3.

This exhibition encourages visual artists to share their beer-inspired artwork, bottle and can label artwork and overall work celebrating beer culture. Artists are encouraged to submit their unique visions such as paintings based upon vintage beer advertising, photographs of frothy beers, collages utilizing beer coasters and other beer promotional items, assemblage incorporating the variety of colorful beer bottles, and other original inspired works of art.

CATEGORIES ACCEPTED:

Fine Art: Painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, assemblage, collage, mixed media, fiber art, artist book, ceramics, stoneware, stain glass and sculpture. Oversized jewelry that can be defined as fine art is acceptable for this show.

This exhibition does not accept small jewelry, video, film, performance art, installation and works requiring an external electrical source.

Submissions must be the artist’s original work.

Deadline is March 18, 2023.
