Black Fret Presents: Ritmo Cascabel with the Sickly Hecks
December 3, 2022 @ 7:00 pm

About: Ritmo Cascabel
After a wild night of cumbia dancing at a Denver club, Ritmo Cascabel was born in 2019. The band combines cumbia, western, and chicha sounds to create their own unique genre that would make you rock and roll yet dance at the same time.
About The Sicly Hecks
The Sickly Hecks are at the forefront of a new wave of music which draws from post-punk, alternative, garage, grunge and pop to create a powerful, sophisticated sound. Birthed from the basement-recordings of Raymond Suny, who has joined forces with multi-instrumentalist Steven Hartman, The Sickly Hecks cut their teeth playing DIY house shows before broadening their horizons to larger venues and festivals. Their 2021 album “Try and Fail” ranges in sound and emotion while maintaining cohesiveness throughout. The album received praise from 303Magazine, Westword, Bandwagon and other media outlets. The band is set to release two new singles this summer.
