Artist’s Opening Reception: Charles Michael Hickman, with music by Ben Hanna
January 10 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pmNO COVER. Tips for the artist(s) are appreciated and encouraged
Come celebrate the new exhibition by local creative Charles Hickman and support local art!
In keeping with artists tradition, all art sales are donated to Friends of Warm Hearth for the entire month of January. Warm Hearth is a group home in Armenia for people with disabilities that grew up in state care. Typically these friends would ‘graduate’ into psychiatric institutions and be isolated from the world for the rest of their lives. Warm Hearth is a successful alternative that invites them to live together in a thoughtful and holistic home. They receive training and support with medical and physical accommodations that grant access to a meaningful and enriched life.
Warm Hearth is hoping to open up their Third Home in Yerevan, Armenia, and bring seven more residents into this lovely program. They are changing the paradigm of segregation for the entire region, proving inclusion is right and benefits all.

Playing the stage for our musical adventure will be the one and only Ben Hanna…
Singer-Songwriter Ben Hanna possesses passion, wit, authenticity, and sonic-tenacity. His “Post-Suburban Americana” is described as a contemporary blend of Americana-inspired storytelling and rebellious, high-energy “rawk.” He sings about the less-than-glorious human experiences that modern society erupts, so it’s worth listening to his take on the human state. His musical influences include Lou Reed, Todd Snider, Bob Dylan, The Violent Femmes, and Townes Van Zandt.
Refresh your mind, refresh your week!
As usual on a Friday, the tasting room will be open from 4pm – 8:30ish. The art will be hanging all night and tunes will flow from around 6:30pm – 8:30ish. There is NO COVER, tips for the musician(s) are always welcome and encouraged, and you are invited to bring your own snacks/picnic. We’ll be serving up our luscious spirituous (and non-spirituous) organic wonders!
