“Air: As We Live & Breathe” Virtual Climate Change Series (LOCAL)
April 19 @ 7:30 pm
Nineteen of the 20 warmest years on record have occurred since 2001. Atmospheric carbon dioxide levels continue to climb, exceeding anything in the past 1.2 million years. The largest and most powerful storms ever recorded have occurred in just the past five years alone. Mega-wildfires rage in places like Australia, California, and right here in our own backyard.
Join us as we take a big picture view of our global situation and explore earth, air, fire, and water with a series of panels, lectures, and conversations with local scientists and other experts in their fields. What we’re learning about these vast and shifting realms is both scary and encouraging. We curated this series to move the conversation forward, to inform ourselves, and to empower us all to think globally and act locally.
Watch the rest of the series:
Fire: Friend and Foe, Tuesday, April 20 at 7:30 pm
