2020 Womxn’s March Denver and Community Exhibition
January 18 @ 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Join Womxn’s March Denver on January 18, 2020, at Denver’s Civic Center Park for the 4th Annual March and Impact Expo, inside the McNichols Civic Center Building, located at 144 West Colfax Avenue in Denver, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. More than just a March – this is a Movement to uplift and amplify womxn’s voices, with an ongoing series of community workshops and a platform to share awareness about key issues of importance to our community.
While there will be no March Rally before or after the march, one is being planned for later in 2020 to encourage voter participation. Post-March and indoors at McNichols, marchers will be encouraged to connect with approximately 60 non-profit and community groups focusing on reproductive rights, climate change, gun safety, immigration, voter registration, domestic violence/sexual assault assistance resources, and arts activism. Workshops available include “Womxn Building Resilience” and the live podcast of “Dear White Womxn” for $10 each. This event is sponsored by the Denver Arts & Venues Cultural Partner Program, McNichols Civic Center Building.
Schedule is as follows:
9:30 a.m.: Pre-march entertainment by dancer/drummer ensembles and a cappella groups.
10 a.m.: March starts near the corner of 14th Avenue and Bannock Streets
10:30 a.m.: Doors to McNichols Building open with free access to Impact Expo and exhibits
